Volume Pricing

Tiered pricing for laboratories buying research materials at quantity, plus purchase-order accounts and net terms for approved institutions. Same catalogue, same eight-test release panel, same lot-matched certificate on every unit.

Placeholder pricing · not a commercial offer

Bulk tiers

Discounts apply to the unit price and are calculated per product across a single order. Mixed-product orders qualify on total unit count where the products share a format.

Placeholder tier structure · all figures pending commercial sign-off
Tier Units Discount Terms
Bench 5–9 units 10% discount PLACEHOLDER · card at checkout
Lab 10–24 units 15% discount PLACEHOLDER · card or PO
Department 25–49 units 20% discount PLACEHOLDER · PO, net terms available
Institutional 50+ units Quoted PLACEHOLDER · PO, contract pricing
  • Tier discounts do not stack with Membership discounts. The larger of the two applies.
  • Standing orders and scheduled repeat shipments are quoted individually.
  • Bulk quantities of a single product ship from as few lots as possible, so your incoming QC covers as much of the order as it can. Where an order spans lots, every lot is named on the packing list with its own certificate.

Who qualifies

Volume accounts are for organisations doing laboratory work. Everything sold by Atlas Labs remains for research use only, and volume changes nothing about that — see the Research Use Only Policy.

Category 01

Academic and hospital labs

University research groups, hospital laboratories, and non-profit institutes, ordering against a departmental or grant budget.

Category 02

Commercial research labs

Contract research organisations, analytical laboratories, and industrial R&D groups with an established purchasing function.

Category 03

Government and public sector

Government, forensic, and public-health laboratories purchasing through a formal procurement route.

  • Verification is required before a volume account opens: institution name, laboratory address, and the name and role of the person authorised to order.
  • Resale, repackaging, and onward distribution are prohibited at any quantity. A volume account is not a distribution agreement.
  • We do not open volume accounts where we cannot verify the institution, or where an order appears to be intended for a prohibited use.

Purchase orders and net terms

Approved laboratories and institutions can order against a purchase order instead of paying by card. We raise a quote, you raise the PO, and we invoice on dispatch. In the production build a PO is issued as a draft order, so the quote you approve is the order that ships.

  • Net terms: PLACEHOLDER (expected net 30 on approved accounts, subject to credit review).
  • Minimum PO value: PLACEHOLDER.
  • Quote validity: PLACEHOLDER days from issue.
  • Tax exemption: supply your exemption certificate with the first PO and we hold it on the account.
  • W-9 and vendor onboarding: supplied on request; we can complete a supplier registration for your procurement system.

Invoices are payable on the terms printed on them, and supply may be suspended on an overdue account — see section 5 of the Terms of Service. The research-use attestation is still required and is recorded against every PO order.

How to request a quote

  1. Send the enquiry. Use the contact form and pick "Volume pricing or purchase order" as the subject. Tell us the products, the quantities, the institution, and whether you need a PO.
  2. Verification. We confirm the institution and the authorised buyer. Most accounts clear in one exchange of email.
  3. Quote. You get a written quote with unit pricing, lead time, and the lots we expect to allocate. Certificates for allocated lots are already public — check them on COA Lookup before you commit.
  4. Order. Approve the quote, or raise your PO against it. We dispatch within the window on the quote and invoice on dispatch.

Expected response time for volume enquiries is one business day. Cold-pack shipping, tracking, and the reship-or-refund QC guarantee apply to volume orders exactly as they do to single units — see Shipping & Returns.

Tell us what you need and we will quote it

Products, quantities, and your institution. One business day for a written quote, with the lots we expect to allocate and their published certificates.
