Reconstitution Calculator
Calculate the resulting concentration when reconstituting lyophilized peptides with bacteriostatic water. Enter your peptide mass and diluent volume to determine concentration, the units to draw per dose, and the number of doses per vial. For laboratory research use only.
How to use this calculator
- Syringe volume — select the size of your insulin syringe (0.3, 0.5, or 1.0 ml). All syringes are U-100, so 1 ml equals 100 units.
- Peptide vial quantity — enter the total lyophilized peptide in milligrams, as stated on the vial label.
- Bacteriostatic water — enter the volume of BAC water you plan to add, in millilitres.
- Desired dose — set the dose in milligrams you want to draw per injection. The result shows the units to pull to.
Reconstitution guidelines
- Use bacteriostatic water as the preferred diluent for multi-use reconstitution.
- Direct the stream of diluent against the glass wall of the vial. Do not inject directly onto the lyophilized powder.
- Gently swirl the vial until the peptide is fully dissolved. Do not shake.
- Store reconstituted product refrigerated at 2–8 °C and use within its stability window.
